What does a research consultation include?
While assistance getting started in research is always available at the reference desk, our research consultations are scheduled appointments with a reference librarian for individualized, uninterrupted, one-on-one assistance. Consultations are available to all TCC students, faculty and staff.
Consultations include a conversation about your research and what sources will best meet your needs. We will assist you in locating sources available in our subscription databases, and direct you to other information sources as needed.
When are research consultation appointments available?
Appointments are available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., depending on librarian availability. Consultation sessions usually last from 30 minutes to one hour. If needed, a follow-up appointment may be scheduled.
How do I request a research consultation?
Complete and submit the Research Consultation Request form.
Following the submission of your request, a librarian will contact you to finalize your appointment time the next business day. If you have not been contacted within that time, please call the Reference Desk on the second floor of the main campus Library: (850) 201-8383
