By Moisés Kaufman and the Members of the Tectonic Theater Project

Directed by Gary Brame

September 28 & 29 | 8 p.m.
September 30 |
2 p.m.
October 5-7 |
 8 p.m.

In October of 1998, twenty-one year old Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die, tied to a fence on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. The reason for this brutal crime? Shapard was gay. Playwright Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project made six trips to Laramie in the aftermath of this violent act. During these visits, more than 200 interviews were conducted with the people of Laramie, and the resulting play chronicles the town in the year after Shepard’s murder. Hailed as one of the most captivating and encompassing pieces of contemporary theatre, the play shocks, challenges, and moves all who watch it as it reveals the lowest depths of hatred and greatest heights of compassion that lies within all human beings in any seemingly average community.

Viewer Discretion: Because of adult language and mature themes, “The Laramie Project” is not recommended for children.

Directed by Rose Bennett

November 30-December 2 |

A riotous tale packed with outlandish characters, sparkling repartee, and bawdy humor! Shakespeare pits the strong-willed Kate against the wily Petruchio in a battle of wits that makes the audience wonder just who is taming whom. “The Taming of the Shrew” is Shakespeare’s most rollicking comedy and one of the funniest plays ever written about the battle of the sexes.
