Courses We Have Offered in the Past:
Drywall Installation and Finishing
Gives detailed instructions for installing drywall on walls and ceilings using nails, drywall screws, and adhesives. Also covers fire and sound-rated walls. Covers the materials, tools, and methods used to finish and patch gypsum drywall. Includes coverage of both automatic and manual taping tools.
Drywall Level 1
Curriculum includes Orientation to the Trade, Construction Materials and Methods, Thermal and Moisture protection, Drywall Installation, and Drywall Finishing.
Drywall Installation and Finishing
Gives detailed instructions for installing drywall on walls and ceilings using nails, drywall screws, and adhesives. Also covers fire and sound-rated walls. Covers the materials, tools, and methods used to finish and patch gypsum drywall. Includes coverage of both automatic and manual taping tools.
Carpentry Level 1A
This construction course is part A of the Carpentry Level 1 program consisting of 50 hours of hands on and classroom instruction for individuals entering the carpentry field or trying to upgrade their current job skills. The course content for part A includes Orientation to the Trade, Building Materials, Fasteners and Adhesives, Hand and Power Tools, Reading Plans and 10 Hours of OSHA Safety Training. The 10 hour OSHA safety training is provided by an instructor certified by the Department of Labor and is qualified to issue completers an OSHA card for verification of the safety training.
Carpentry Level 1B
This construction course is part B of the Carpentry Level 1 program consisting of 112.5 hours of hands on and classroom instruction for individuals entering the carpentry field or trying to upgrade their current job skills. The course content for part B includes Floor Systems, Wall and Ceiling Framing, Roof Framing, Introduction to Concrete, Reinforcing Materials and Forms, Windows and Exterior Doors and Basic Stair Layout.
Successful Business Practices for the Small Construction Contractors
This course is designed to help construction contractors run the business side of their company more effectively and efficiently. Topics covered will include: Value analysis; Cost estimation; and Business management among others.
